IPAC, CUPP clash over Ganduje’s ‘suspension’

The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has accused the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) of interference in the internal affairs of the All Progressive Congress (APC) after Ganduje ward executives of the party in Dawakin Tofa local government area led by one Haladu Gwanjo announced the suspension of the APC national chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

IPAC said interference in the internal affairs of another political party is against the law.

The CUPP recently accused the APC of attempts to manipulate the authentic list of members and executives in Ganduje Ward, as duly recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The chairman of the CUPP, Muhammad Abdullahi Raji, who raised the concerns, said that the APC in Kano was plotting to alter the list of members in Ganduje ward to counter the faction that suspended the party’s national chairman on April 15.

However, Kano State IPAC Secretary Nuhu Idris, who is also the chairman of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), said what CUPP did amounts to interference, advising it to stop involvement in matters that do not concern it.
