Oyetola orders council chairmen, others to vacate office

Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State, on Friday, ordered that all chairmen and political office holders at the local government councils across the state should vacate their respective offices.

He directed that they should hand over the administration of their concerned councils to the most senior local government personnel.

Oyetola, through the Secretary to the State Government, Wole Oyebamiji, disclosed in a statement that the directive was hinged on the expiration of the tenure of all political officeholders in all the local councils, area development councils and administrative offices in Osun on Friday, February 5, 2021.

He said, “Governor Adegboyega Oyetola appreciates their individual contributions to the development of the state and wishes them well in their future engagement.”
