Police arrests suspected kidnappers in Jigawa

The Police in Jigawa State have arrested two suspects for allegedly threatening to kidnap a businessman and members of his family.

Police Spokesman DSP. Lawan Shiisu Adam confirmed the arrest in a statement issued to DAILY POST.

According to the statement “one Dauda Adamu ‘m’ 52yrs of Zadau village B/Kudu LGA reported at B/Kudu Division that, unknown persons called him on the phone and threatened him to give them money or else the risk of being kidnapped together with his family”

He said after receiving the report, Policemen attached to the B/Kudu Division swung into action.

DSP. Shiisu said following a tip-off, one Ahmed Audu of Basirka town, Gwaram LGA, and one Adebayo Abayomi of Ogigi village Ijumu LGA of Kogi State, were arrested and brought to the Station for investigation.

On interrogation, the suspects confessed to the commission of the offence, and the SIM Pack of the number used in calling the complainant was recovered from them.

The suspects were transferred to SCID Dutse for a discreet investigation.
