2026 WCQ: Remo Stars celebrate Ismail’s Super Eagles invitation

Remo Stars have celebrated Sodiq Ismail’s maiden invitation to the Super Eagles.

Ismail was listed in the Super Eagles squad alongside 22 other players for the 2026 World Cup qualifying games.

Nigeria will face South Africa and Benin Republic on June 7th and 10th respectively.

Ismail has been a key performer for Remo Stars this season with 10 assists to his name.

“Our right back, Sodiq Ismail has received his first call-up to the Super Eagles squad for next month’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches,” Remo Stars wrote on X.

“South Africa on June 7th; Benin Republic on June 10. Congratulations, Sodiq – we’re so proud of you.”
