Tinubu administration open to partnership to tackle poverty – Shettima

The federal government has said its doors are open to effective collaboration with relevant stakeholders to address causes of multidimensional poverty and other socio-economic challenges in the country.

Vice President Kashim Shettima said this on Tuesday in Abuja at the National Savings Group Conference 2024, themed, ‘Accelerating Financial and Economic Inclusion: The Pivotal Role of Savings Groups in Nigeria’ organised by Care International, Plan International, Oxfam, Christian Aid, Action Aid Nigeria, Mercy Corps, Catholic Relief Services and World Bank, among others.

Shettima, represented by the Technical Advisor to the President on Financial Inclusion, Dr Nurudeen Abubakar-Zauro, said plans had been concluded to interact with local and international stakeholders on inclusion to tap into their experiences for Nigeria to meet global best practices.
