SGF flags-off free diarrhoea treatment for 10,000 Benue children

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, has flagged off a free diarrhoea treatment programme for 10,000 children in his Wannune home town in Tarka Local Government Area of Benue State.

Akume said that the free medical outreach was part of activities marking his 70th birthday anniversary and encouraged people to present their children for treatment to improve their health.

The SGF who was represented by Dr Emmanuel Tyover, the Rector of Federal Polytechnic Wannune, on Sunday acknowledged President Bola Tinubu’s administration for prioritising the wellbeing of the citizenry, adding that the health of the Nigerian child remains paramount to nation-building.

Also speaking, Dr Emmanuel Agba, CEO of Tyonex Pharmaceuticals Company Limited, said they were partnering with the SGF because of his passion for the health of his people, Benue and Nigeria.
