PHOTOS: After Daily Trust story, renovation begins at Federal Secretariat

Some weeks after a report by the Daily Trust about the poor condition of the federal secretariat complex at Three Arms Zone in Abuja, renovation of the building has begun this week. 

In a report on March 25 titled, “Federal Secretariat Rots Away Despite Guzzling N8.1bn On Renovation,” Daily Trust described the worrying condition of the building which houses over 10 Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

The complex is one of the popular public buildings in the heart of the capital city.

The report revealed that in 2022 alone, N8.1bn was granted to the FCT Administration (FCTA) for the rehabilitation of the secretariat, but the outlook of the complex did not suggest that such an amount was put into the renovation.
