Medical lab council phases out manual registration of facilities
The Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) has phased out the manual registration of medical laboratory facilities in the country.
A statement from the council yesterday said its Registrar, Dr Tosan Erhabor, announced this during a meeting with stakeholders in Abuja.
He said the decision was taken to ensure the efficiency of the agency’s processes and to scale up service delivery to its clients, particularly medical laboratory practitioners and proprietors.

The National President of the Guild of Medical Laboratory Directors (GMLD), Dr Elochukwu Adibo, welcomed the development, saying it had the capacity to improve the process of medical laboratory registration as well as the existing relationship between MLSCN and the stakeholders.
