Omo-Agege, in a statement, noted that even in death, the former Lagos State governor would forever be remembered as one of the greatest political leaders in the history of Nigeria.

Gbajabiamila said he was touched by the death of Jakande, whom he described as a man of peace, who lived all his life serving humanity.

“Baba Jakande touched the lives of many people in different ways. His major preoccupation was the peace and unity of his people, and he lived by that example,” Gbajabiamila said.
