Ladoja’s group, ZLP join APC in Oyo

Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) and the political group of ex-Oyo State Governor Rashidi Ladoja have dissolved their structures into the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The leadership of the two groups also directed their members to participate in the membership registration of the APC throughout the 351 wards and 33 local governments.

The decision formed part of a resolution reached at the end of a stakeholders’ meeting of the ZLP and Ladoja political group held on Tuesday at Samonda, Ibadan.

The leadership of the Oyo APC, ZLP and Senator Ladoja political group met on February 12 at Premier Hotel, Ibadan to consider developmental issues affecting the state.

The meeting also considered the possibilities of the dissolution of the structure of ZLP and Ladoja political group into the APC, a move applauded by stakeholders.

Tuesday’s meeting finally gave approval to the proposal after deliberation and consideration by the stakeholders.

Party leaders at the meeting included Elder Kola Olaniyan, Bimbo Adepoju, Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli, Mr. Waheed Akanbi (WAF) and Adeolu Adeleke.

Others are Kazeem Kolawole Raji (KK), A.I. M. Olaniyan, Mrs. Monisola Tegbe, Mrs. Serifat Tanimowo, Kola Olabiyi and Alhaji Wahab Oyelade.

The meeting also passed a vote of confidence in Ladoja, other leaders and the executive steering the affairs of the ZLP, Ladoja political group and Ladoja loyalists.
