DPR generates over N2tr in 2020

The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Chief Executive Officer Engr. Sarki Auwalu has disclosed the organisation generated over N2 trillion for the Federal Government in 2020.
According to him, the DPR has planned to exceed last year revenue generation in 2021.
He spoke while giving a virtual goodwill message at the Society of Petroleum Engineer 2021 Oloibiri Lecture Series and Energy Forum in Abuja.

The theme of the lecture was: Operational Excellence and Portfolio Optimisation, way forward for the Oil and Gas Industry post COVID-19.
He attributed the feat to the cooperation of operational excellence that allows full flow of value to government.
Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva, said that Federal Government is considering the restructuring how to grant regulatory forbearance to oil and gas sector investors that are facing challenges of debt services.
