3 killed in Benue community

Armed invaders have killed three people in separate attacks on villages of Apa Local Government Area of Benúe State.

Locals said the deceased were killed in three different villages of Inyapu, Ikobi and Ugbobi in Apa LGA.

The villagers lamented that attacks by the invaders had continued on daily basis despite the deployment of security personnel in the area.

“People can’t go to farm any longer as some have been killed when they attempted to do so,” a villager said.

Barrister Eche Akpoko, who is the Chairman of the Apa Development Association, confirmed the killing of the three people in a text message to our correspondent in Makurdi.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Benúe Command, SP Catherine Anene, said she was yet to get any report about the incident.
