225 lieutenants for Army exams in Asaba

Two hundred and twenty-five Army lieutenants have begun promotion examination in Asaba, General Officer Commanding 6 Division, Maj.- Gen. Ibrahim Jallo has said.
Gen. Jallo said the 63 Brigade of the Army in Asaba will host the Lieutenant to Captain Promotion examination from February 8-12.
He said plans have been perfected to ensure comfort of the participating officers, including arrangements for escort to and from the examination.

The GOC represented by the Commander of 63 Brigade, Brig.-Gen Abdulrahaman Idris, praised the Lieutenants, and urged them to be of good behaviour throughout the process.
The Examination President, Maj.-Gen. Benson Akinroluyo, urged residents of Asaba and environs not to panic due to the sizable number of personnel in the area. He hailed the people for their hospitality.
He said: “The 63 Brigade Commander has notified the community that a sizable number of military will be here; the government and everybody is are aware.
“The main examination is to test them on the deployment and employment of at least a mechanised company. Their tactics and deployment and administration of men, at least up to a company level.”
