Military rescues 10 kidnapped victims in Zamfara, assure total showdown against terrorists

Officers of Operation Hadarin Daji, a component of the military in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State have successfully rescued ten farmers abducted by armed bandits.

DAILY POST gathered that the kidnapped victims were abducted on the 6th of June, 2023 while working on their farms, pointing out that the victims who are mainly male adults spent seven days in the den of bandits.

A press statement from authorities of Operation Hadarin Daji pointed out that the bandits abandoned the victims in the bush on sighting the troops approaching their enclaves.

The rescued victims according to the military statement have been debriefed and reunited with their families

The statement further said the operation will continue to attack unrepentant bandits until sanity prevails in Zamfara and neighbouring States under its control.

DAILY POST reports that the rescue came a few days after terrorists killed a health worker, abducted his two wives, four children and forty other persons in Jangebe Community in Talata Mafara Local Government Area of the State.

Recall that Tsafe Local Government area of the State shares a border with Katsina State and it is recorded that the Local Government Area remains a bandits’ colony in the state.

The bandits have continued to terrorize many communities and travellers on highways in that axis.
