Man stabs funeral attendee for dating ex-wife

A married man named Chris was attacked on Wednesday in the Mile 3 neighborhood of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, by a hoodlum who claimed he was having an affair with his ex-wife. Chris barely escaped death.
The victim was allegedly repeatedly stabbed by the culprit, who only went by the name Olowo, until he lost consciousness.
Olowo and his group allegedly followed and ambushed Chris, who had traveled to the region for a burial, at around 12.30 p.m. on National Street in the Diobu axis of the city.

According to eyewitnesses, the man would have perished if vigilantes hadn’t stepped in to save him.
The Chief Security Officer of Nkpolu Oroworukwo, Mile 3, Diobu, Godstime Ihunwo, called for the immediate arrest of Olowo.
Olowo’s ex-wife, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, added that she and the victim were just friends when she announced their divorce three years ago.
