Dj Switch reacts as Lagos state panel of inquiry hands over Lekki toll gate to LCC
DJ Switch, whose real name is Obianuju Catherine Udeh, has expressed disappointment after the Lagos panel of enquiry order the reopening of the Lekki Tollgate.
Kemi Filani recalls the popular female disc jockey, DJ Switch had defied all odds to release live footages from the massacre scene that occurred at the Lekki Tollgate where peaceful protesters shot at by Nigerian law enforcement agents, leaving many of them injured and dead.
Reacting to the order to reopening of the Lekki Tollgate by the Lagos panel without serving justice to the perpetrators of the crime, DJ switch condemned the decision expressing disappointedly that the Lagos state government had failed young people who participated and died during the protest.
In her words, she wrote;
“We cannot allow operations to begin at the Lekki Tollgate when justice has not prevailed! This is wrong! I have always known 4rm the start the panel trolls screamed at my absence for is a sham! @followlasg you have failed the young of lagos state! #EndSARS”
Earlier today the Panel of Enquiry and Restitution for Victims of SARS related abuses and other matters set up by the Lagos State government has ordered the there-opening of the Lekki Toll Gate. Led by the infamous Justice Doris Okuwobi, the panel finally approves the re-opening of the plaza and its repossession to the Lekki Concession Company, LCC.
