Subsidy removal: Companies launch CNG tricycle in Abuja

Simba Group, in partnership with TVS Motor Company, yesterday, launched a new brand of tricycle, TVS King Deluxe CNG, in Abuja.

Daily Trust reports that the event was a follow-up to the primary product launched in November, 2023, in Edo State.

While expressing enthusiasm about the latest launch, the Business Head of Simba Group, Mahendra Pratap, said, “Simba Group is thrilled to collaborate with TVS in introducing the TVS King Deluxe CNG; a ground-breaking achievement as the first CNG keke in Nigeria, and extending the launch to the FCT.

“This initiative perfectly aligns with and supports the visionary agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in introducing CNG vehicles across the states. Beyond assisting riders in reducing petrol expenses, this innovative vehicle plays a pivotal role in fostering a sustainable and greener future for our communities with a sustainable model.”

The TVS Deluxe CNG is powered by a robust 200 cc 4 stroke, liquid-cooled and single-cylinder SI engine that churns out a maximum power output of 6.3 kW @ 5500 rpm in the CNG variant.
