FHA digitises operations, targets 100,000 housing delivery

The Federal Housing Authority (FHA) has digitised its operations nationwide with a target of delivering about 100,000 affordable housing units to Nigerians across the 36 states of the federation.

The managing director of the authority, Hon. Oyetunde Ojo, made the disclosure during the launch of the FHA digitalisation drive which took place at its headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday.

He said, “The launch of the digitalization drive signifies a commitment to modernize and streamline our operations and enhance service delivery. By leveraging the power of technology, we aim to revolutionize the way we work, collaborate and innovate within FHA.”

Ojo added, “The first phase of the digitization project is for all internal processes and the second phase will involve external clients who are in the final phase and will commence in two or three weeks signifying that anyone anywhere in the world can get across to us.”

On housing delivery, the MD said “FHA is looking at going beyond the 20,000 target to about 100,000 housing units delivered around the country as collaborations with the state governments who own the land have been fruitful. In addition, FHA is set to initiate a Diaspora city initiative for Nigerians abroad.”

Earlier, the General Manager, Planning and Survey, Eyong Enong, said the digitisation drive will solve the problem of double allocation as well as issues arising from ground rent.
