Adeleke, Oyetola inaugurate 10,000 canvassers for Tinubu’s re-election

Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke and the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, on Saturday inaugurated 10,000 door-to-door canvassers to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in the state.

The inauguration, held at Nelson Mandela Freedom Park, Osogbo, attracted political figures, including All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders, members of Adeleke’s administration and representatives of the Niger Delta political bloc.

Speaking at the event, Oyetola, who was represented by the APC governorship candidate in the August 15 election, Bola Oyebamiji, said the inauguration demonstrated commitment and organisation towards Tinubu’s re-election.

He commended party members and other stakeholders for their support for the president’s re-election bid, saying the Southwest had a responsibility to deliver substantial votes for Tinubu.

Oyetola said the target of mobilising 1.5 million votes for Tinubu in Osun was achievable through unity, discipline and determination.

He urged Nigerians, irrespective of their political affiliations, to support Tinubu’s continuity agenda and called on the canvassers to carry out their assignment with sincerity and commitment.

In his remarks, Adeleke, represented by his deputy, Kola Adewusi, urged members of the Accord Party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and APC to set aside past disagreements and support Tinubu’s re-election.

He described Tinubu’s victory in the 2027 general elections as sacrosanct.

Also speaking, Sunday Adekanbi, National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, urged eligible voters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards and mobilise support for the president across the state.

The Chief Executive Officer of Tantita Limited, Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, donated 30 campaign vehicles to support the canvassers.

Represented by his aide, Kestin Pondi, Ekpemupolo said the vehicles were equipped with speakers, generators and amplifiers to support the campaign.

He urged Osun residents to vote for Tinubu, expressing support for the president’s reform agenda.

The Osun Coordinator of the movement, Adeolu Olanrewaju, urged the canvassers to reach every household and persuade residents to support Tinubu.

Also, the APC National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru, highlighted what he described as achievements of the Tinubu administration, including the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, infrastructure development, increased allocations to states and improvements in the economy.
