The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC), Abdullahi Yari, says Nigerians will be convinced by President Bola Tinubu’s achievements to re-elect him in 2027.
Yari, a former governor of Zamfara, made the assertion in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, where he joined Tinubu and other Nigerians to perform the lesser Hajj, Umrah.
According to a statement issued by his media office on Saturday, Yari reaffirmed the APC-PCC’s commitment to securing public support for Tinubu’s second-term bid.
He expressed confidence that Tinubu’s record in office and the campaign council’s efforts to convince voters would secure the president’s re-election.
“In total, I depend on Allah to do it for him (Tinubu) as he did it for him in 2023. We will campaign and talk to people.
“We will campaign to convince them, to show them what we have done and have achieved, and by God’s grace, they will be convinced to re-elect us,” Yari said.
Tinubu had also expressed confidence in God for his re-election in 2027 while in Saudi Arabia on Friday.
“Allah is the only one who can define a human being, what he will be and what he will become,” the president said.
