Transfer: Napoli advised on right Chelsea player for Osimhen swap deal

Former Napoli sporting director Carlo Javomuzzi has advised the club to make a move for Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk in exchange for Victor Osimhen.

This would only happen if the two clubs agreed on a swap deal.

Recent reports in Italy suggested that Romelu Lukaku could be in the mix of the Osimhen swap deal.

Lukaku scored only 15 goals in 59 games during his time at Stamford Bridge.

But the Belgian has scored 20 goals in 44 games for Roma.

Lukaku could leave on a permanent transfer this summer after two loan spells so far.

Chelsea’s main frontman this season, Nicolas Jackson, has scored 13 Premier League goals this season as he struggles to meet expectations at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are said to be interested in Osimhen, who led the Italian giants to the Serie A title with his goal-scoring ability.

There are rumours of a potential swap of strikers between the clubs.

Jacomuzzi, who does not want the club to sign Romelu Lukaku, is instead asking for Mudryk in exchange for Osimhen.

He said via SportWitness: “At Chelsea, anything can happen this summer. I wouldn’t be surprised if Napoli get the clause for Osimhen.

“At the moment, the Chelsea coach has not yet been chosen, but from the point of view of money at Chelsea, they have no problem. Lukaku as a quid pro quo? I would ask them for Mudryk in exchange for Osimhen.”
