EPL: I’ll score lots of goal, I’m very good player – Ten Hag’s signing boasts
Manchester United striker, Rasmus Hojlund has described himself as a very good player.
Man United boss, Erik ten Hag brought in Hojlund from Italian Serie A side, Atalanta, last summer and the player has been the club’s first-choice striker this season.
He has scored 14 goals and provided two assists in 40 games for Manchester United this season and is currently going through a rough patch.
Former Manchester United star, Gary Neville had recently said that Hojlund will not become a gifted Premier League striker like Sergio Aguero or Erling Haaland.
He said the highest level for the 21-year-old would be scoring 20 goals in a season, adding that it would have been better if the 21-year-old played as a back-up behind a more experienced striker.
But Hojlund said he no longer listens to people’s opinion about him and believes he is a very good player.
“Manchester United is so big, the Premier League is so huge… people are obviously more focused on you than before,” he told ThymPinon for Ballon d’Or.
“It was hard at the beginning. Now, I am much calmer, I no longer worry too much about what is said.
“I know that I am a good player and that if I get chances, I will score a lot of goals.”
