EPL: Good luck – John Terry reacts as Chelsea star leaves Stamford Bridge for new club
Chelsea legend John Terry has shared a touching tribute on Instagram for Thiago Silva, who is set to depart the club this summer to return to Palmeiras as a free agent.
Silva joined Chelsea in 2020 after leaving Paris Saint-Germain and has since made 112 Premier League appearances, contributing to 32 clean sheets.
His leadership in defense was pivotal in Chelsea’s UEFA Champions League victory, among other achievements.
In a post via his Instagram handle on Sunday, Terry posted a heartfelt message alongside a picture of Silva:
“Good Luck today in what will be an emotional day at the Bridge. @chelseafc Thank you for everything you have done for our club, we Love You my friend.
“It’s been a pleasure to watch you play week after week, to watch you train and see how you look after yourself before games and after games has been inspiring, I just wish I was a few years younger because I would have loved to have played alongside you at the back.
“Good luck for the future @thiagosilva. JT. LEGEND.”
