Bayern vs PSG: Violence Erupts In Paris, Fans Clash With Police After Champions League Final Loss (VIDEO)

Violence erupted in the city of Paris as fans of Paris Saint-German (PSG) clashed with Police after their team lost 1-0 to German Champion, Bayern Munich in Lisbon on Sunday in the 2020 UEFA Champions League final.

It was yet another opportunity for the French Giant to win their first major European trophy but the Bavarian were too strong for the Les Parisiens who paraded the likes of Neymar, Mbappe and Di Maria.

TopnewsNaija gathered over 5,000 fans had assembled at the club’s playing ground, Parc des Princes on Sunday night to watch and cheer their team to victory but their hopes of becoming European Champion was dashed as the search of the continental title continues.

Just after the match, fans were seen on the street setting cars ablaze and clashing with Police with at least 93 fans were thrown behind bars.

According to the French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said on Monday that at least 16 police officers were injured condemning the attitude of the PSG fans.

Condemning the violence, he wrote on Twitter: “The savagery of certain delinquents from last night: 16 members of the police forces injured, 12 shops attacked, around 15 cars vandalised.”
