Rivers APC woos Wike; march for Tinubu

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has invited the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Nyesom Wike, to join the party to help in winning the 2027 presidential election for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Caretaker Committee Chairman of the party in the state, Chief Tony Okocha, who made the call yesterday during a one-million-man solidarity march for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, said that Wike is a political strategist that cannot be ignored in Rivers State politics.

The FCT minister had reiterated that he remained a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) despite admitting working against the party in favour of Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election and subsequently taking an appointment in the APC-led federal government. 

“Wike is the leader of the Renewed Hope Agenda in Rivers State. Wike was responsible for the victory of the Tinubu election in Rivers State. Wike is a reformer, and he is our leader in Rivers State. The rally is not an APC event; the rally is a renewed hope for the Mr. President family in Rivers State,” he said.
