Residents Laud Hon Adewale Temitope For Successful Three-Day Medical Outreach

Residents of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government on Saturday praised Hon. Adewale Temitope Adedeji, OON (JP), member representing Ifako-Ijaiye 01 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, following the successful completion of a three-day event that provided 750 free glasses and 50 free cataract surgeries for constituents.

Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude and highlighted the positive impact of the initiative.

Adeyemo Adewale, one of the recipients of the free glasses, said, “This is my first time attending a programme organised by Hon. Adewale. When I arrived this morning (Saturday), I was amazed by the turnout. I am very excited about how everything was organised.

“They even entertained us. Everyone was attended to, and glasses were given to those who needed them. I want to extend a big thank you to our honorable representative. God will bless him and elevate him further.”

Another beneficiary, Alhaja Olabisi Owode, said, “I am very grateful for today’s JIGI JAH. I know he has been doing this for a long time. It is not new; he has done many things like this that we appreciate. People commended him today, and I am among them. At Ward A, we have been praising him for all his efforts. We pray that Almighty Allah continues to uplift him.”

Muhammed Abubakar, a leader in the Nupe Community in Ifako-Ijaiye and also a beneficiary, said, “When I heard about this program, we were happy because it was one of the things we were expecting from our honorable representative. This is commendable, and people are happy. I am also a beneficiary. Over four of us from the Nupe Community benefitted from this. May God continue to spare his life for us.”

Hon. Adewale Temitope expressed his satisfaction with the programme’s outcome, stating, “Our goal was to provide essential eye care to those who might not have access to it otherwise. Seeing the smiles and hearing the stories of the beneficiaries is incredibly fulfilling. We are committed to continuing such initiatives to improve the lives of our constituents.”

At the end of the three-day medical outreach, 750 constituents were attended to, and those in need of free glasses were provided with them, as well as medications.

Others in need of cataract surgery were selected by the optometrists, with the surgeries scheduled to take place on a to-be-announced date.
