Deputy Speaker and member of Kaduna leave APC for LP

Both Suleiman Dabo, who represents the Zaria State seat, and Isaac Auta Zankai, the deputy speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, have defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Labour Party (LP).

In the State Assembly, the Deputy Speaker represents the Kauru State seat.

This was reaffirmed by the LP’s National Secretary, Umar Farouk Ibrahim, yesterday in Kaduna during the inauguration of the 450-member Governorship Campaign Council and the unveiling of the party’s platform.

Ibrahim, who is also the Chairman of the Governorship Campaign Council, said that half of the State House of Assembly members are “Obi-Datti” apostles, adding that the support received from the personalities in the State was a sign that the party was on the march to victory.

“Sincerely speaking, today is one of the happiest moments in my life,” he said.

He further urged the youths not to relent in their struggle to reclaim their country.
