The Director of Information and Communication, Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Mr Muhammad Hazat Sule, has said the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike is committed to the infrastructural development and transformation of the country’s capital.
Sule gave the assurance yesterday in Abuja when he led a delegation of some senior officials in the FCTA to the corporate headquarters of Media Trust Group (MTG), publishers of Daily Trust newspapers, owners of Trust TV, Trust Radio and Trust Digital.
He said the coming of the present FCT minister had greatly impacted the infrastructural drive of the FCT Administration.
Sule said the visit was also to felicitate with Mallam Ahmed Ibrahim Shekarau on his appointment as the acting Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO)/Editor-in-Chief (Print) of Media Trust Group (MTG).

He said the appointment of Nyesom Wike as the FCT minister by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was a blessing to the 47-year-old territory because of the rapid infrastructural development being witnessed across the territory, as well as the strict implementation of the Abuja master plan.
According to him, under the present administration, road projects that were hitherto abandoned by previous governments have now been revived and are being completed.
While seeking the support of Media Trust in projecting the activities of the FCT Administration, he pledged the support of the administration to the management of the MTG in the discharge of its responsibilities to the country.
To the new acting chief executive officer of the organisation he said, “We are quite aware of such responsibilities that come with such elevation. Daily Trust is our own and for all, and we will do everything humanly possible to ensure that you succeed.”
Responding, Mallam Shekarau said the FCTA and Wike had hit the ground running and that it was important for the administration to let Nigerians know of its achievements, and thus, the need for more business relationship between the MTG and FCTA.
Shekarau stressed the need for the FCTA to prioritise communication and communicate their activities and achievements to Nigerians.
He commended the director for discharging his responsibility as can be seen in the timely, factual and accurate dissemination of information about the FCT Administration through the Abuja Digest newspaper and Abuja Digest Online.
He urged the FCTA to communicate its programmes, projects and policies to the public within the first four years of the Tinubu administration for a buy-in of the citizens.
