PYA Lagos Applauds Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s New Role as Chairman of Southwest Governors Forum

The Progressive Young Ambassadors (PYA) Lagos State Chapter, under the leadership of Ambassador Abiodun Ajayi (Mandate), extend their heartfelt congratulations to Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu on his recent emergence as the Chairman of the Southwest Governors Forum.

The significant meeting, hosted by the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, saw the attendance of all six Southwest Governors. They seized the opportunity to discuss and address critical issues impacting both the Southwest zone and Nigeria as a whole. One of the biggest highlights was putting regional development at the forefront of their discussion, such agricultural advancement, security, health, and social inclusion.

Amb. Abiodun Ajayi expressed the PYA’s confidence in Mr. Sanwo-Olu’s capability, emphasizing his pivotal role in fostering unity among the Southwest states. “We find Mr. Sanwo-Olu worthy of this position, having pioneered and initiated unity among the Southwest states,” said Ajayi.

The Progressive Young Ambassadors wish Mr. Sanwo-Olu well in his new capacity as Chairman and urge him to prioritize the interests of young people within the region. The organization is optimistic that his leadership will bring significant progress and development to the Southwest zone.
