PHOTOS: Super Eagles receive warm reception in Abuja after AFCON final

The Federal Government has hosted a welcome breakfast for the Super Eagles at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.

The team arrived in the capital city on Monday night, following their runner-up performance at the 2024 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote D’Ivoire.

The Super Eagles lost 2-1 to the host nation in a thrilling final at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan on Sunday.

The welcome breakfast was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports Development,John Enoh; the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), and other dignitaries.

The 25-man squad of the Super Eagles included key players such as Alex Iwobi, Ahmed Musa, Victor Osimhen, Ola Aina, Frank Onyeka, Calvin Bassey, Ademola Lookman, Kenneth Omeruo, Joe Aribo and Williams Trost Ekong.
