Hausa traders beg Gov Uzodinma to intervene in market land tussle

Hausa traders based in Imo State have appealed to Governor Hope Uzodinma to intervene in the market land tussle between Eze Hausa of Imo and the Hausa Quarters community in the state.

The Hausa community leaders, under the chairmanship of Alhaji Nura Shettima, made the appeal at a news briefing when he led a delegation to the office of Northern Consensus Movement for Peace Unity Empowerment and Development Initiative (NCNCM) in Kaduna.

According to him, they wanted the governor’s intervention by not allowing anybody to tamper with the piece of land due to the pending court case.

He explained that the Hausa community doing business on Quarters Douglas Road believed only the court had the jurisdiction to determine the rightful owner of the said piece of land.
