Danbatta community applauds FG over railway station approval

A delegation representing the communities of Dambatta and Makoda, led by former Managing Director of the Nigeria Ports Authority, Arch Aminu Dabo, has expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Transportation, Said Alkali over a new railway station at Danbatta.

The approval is part of the ongoing Kano-Maradi Rail project in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The delegation, which included Hon Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari, the member representing Dambatta/Makoda Federal Constituency, expressed gratitude to the Minister for considering the appeal made by Deputy Senate President, Barau JubrinCON, in support of the railway station in Dambatta.

Dabo said the approval of the railway station is a significant development that will greatly benefit the local communities and the region as a whole.

“The Kano-Maradi Rail project is a crucial infrastructure initiative aimed at enhancing transportation and connectivity within the region. The inclusion of a railway station in Dambatta is expected to facilitate economic growth, improve access to transportation, and create new opportunities for trade and development in the area.

“The effort of Deputy Senate President Barau Jubrin CON in advocating for the railway station in Dambatta is instrumental in ensuring that the needs and aspirations of the local communities has demonstrated a commitment to representing the interests of his constituents and promoting essential infrastructure projects that will contribute to the overall development of the region”, he said.

The visit of the Dambatta Makoda communities to the Ministry of Transportation serves as a testament to the positive impact that collaborative efforts between government officials and local representatives can have on addressing the infrastructure needs of communities and fostering regional progress.
