Arch. Bishop Congratulates Tinubu Over Supreme Court Judgement, Calls For Unity

Arch Bishop JohnPraise Daniel Presiding Archbishop, Dominion Chapel International Churche, National Deputy President, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria Chairman, Northern Coalition of Bishops & Apostles (NOCOBA) has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his victory at the supreme court.

At a press conference on Friday, he described the judgement as a land mark victory for democracy and unequivocal testament to the strength, transparency, and integrity of the Nigeria judiciary system.

He went further to call for Unity and progress amongst Nigerians.

“The affirmation by the Supreme Court transcends party lines and political allegiances. It is a reflection of our collective will as a people. Now, more than ever, is therefore time for us, irrespective of our political leanings, to come together and rally behind President Tinubu’s administration.”

“Furthermore, I wish to extend my commendation to the petitioners, Mallam Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party who were the petitioners. Their commitment to due process, particularly in resorting to our judiciary to resolve the dispute from the February 25th elections, is commendable and should serve as an example to all politicians.

“The Supreme Court, the apex judicial body in our nation, has delivered its judgment without prejudice. I implore Mallam Atiku and Mr. Peter Obi to view this verdict as the divine will of God and nothing more.

“Today, our country faces numerous challenges. The critical challenges we face are of job creation, tackling insecurity, and stabilizing the Country’s economy. As you all know, we are grappling with fuel crisis that has made it increasingly difficult for the common Nigerian to travel due to skyrocketing transportation costs. The prices of essential food items have soared, making daily sustenance a struggle for many. In the midst of these challenges, I commend President Tinubu for his palliative initiative.”

“Many Nigerians have benefited from this timely intervention, and for that, we are genuinely grateful. However, the realities on the ground indicate that much more needs to be done. One of the ways forward is by promoting and encouraging Nigerians to patronize homegrown products, thus strengthening our industries, and extension our economy. It is imperative that we address these challenges with collective zeal in order to continue supporting the president Renewed hope agenda of Mr. president for our Country.

“I hereby join the millions of Nigerians in urging the President to intensify his efforts to alleviate the sufferings of the masses.

“On this occasion, I also welcome the Honourable Minister of the FCT, Mr. Wike, to Abuja. His transformative works in the capital are a testament to his dedication, and I am confident that he will continue to work diligently in service of our nation.

“Abuja belongs to all Nigerians, regardless of your tribe or religion- for it is God who determines our leaders, in Romans 13:1-3 “The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong.” Calling on the resignation of the Minister who did not wrong, it’s like calling on God’s judgement on themselves. This is unacceptable and it must stop!”
