Tension as gunmen kill eight soldiers, policemen, NSCDC personnel in Imo
There is tension in Umualumaku community, Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State following the reported killing of no less than eight security personnel by unknown gunmen.
DAILY POST gathered that the casualties included soldiers, police officers, and members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps.
The incident, which occurred on Tuesday morning, has created an atmosphere of fear, with residents in heightened tension.
Two security trucks carrying the joint security task force team were reportedly attacked and set on fire by their assailants.
A security guard, who wished to remain anonymous, informed DAILY POST that additional teams had been dispatched to the crime scene in an effort to apprehend the perpetrators and recover the bodies of the deceased security officials.
