Osun police rescues abducted College of Health Technology student


The Osun Police Command has announced the rescue of Rukayat Bayonle, a student of Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa, one Rukayat, who was abducted on 20th April, 2021, at about at Olomilagbala Area, Ilesa.

Thus was made known in a press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer for the Command, Yemisi Opalola and made available to DAILY POST.

According to the release, upon getting a distress call that the victim was abducted, the Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode, drafted a combined team of police Tactical Unit, JTF, and other security outfits on a rescue mission to secure the release of the abducted girl.

It further stated that the, “security operatives on an unrelenting rescue operation of the victim, followed suit in the bush to do a thorough combing of the area.

“At about 0525 hours of same day, 20th April, 2021, within the space of three hours, Police and local security men rescued her unhurt.”

He urged members of the public to be vigilant and to collaborate, support and co-operate with the Osun Police Command in the fight against all forms of criminalities.

DAILY POST gathered that the abductors numbering about five had invaded the quarters of the students and took the victim into the bush.
