NDLEA Arrests Three Drug Cartels Allegedly Smuggling 843kg Of Hard Drugs

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested three drug cartels allegedly smuggling illegal drugs, including skunk and cocaine weighing over 843 kilograms, to some states.

According to Femi Babafemi, Director of Media and Advocacy, NDLEA, in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday, seven drug kingpins were arrested in Kogi, Nasarawa and Benue states while trying to escape.

He added that over 356kg of cannabis and other substances were recovered in an operation carried out by a team of the agency’s officials in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.

He added that in Benue on July 8, 9, and the 13, some quantities of cocaine were stopped and the supplier was arrested with 29.17 grammes of crack cocaine.

He further added that the chairman of the NDLEA, retired Brig. Buba Marwa commended the officials and residents of Kogi, Nasarawa and Benue.
