More UNILAG Students Contract COVID-19

Management of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) have said that more students have contracted COVID-19, leading to a stricter enforcement of COVID-19 protocols on Tuesday.

Oluwatoyin Ogundipe,the University’s vice Chancellor, who neither confirmed nor denied the report disclosed that authorities in the institution were making deliberations on the spike in cases and would inform the public on its resolution, Premium Times reported.

Ogundipe said, “We are already in a management meeting.We will speak on it soon.”

Information surrounding infected students remain sketchy, however, reports have it that a female Law student was one of the confirmed cases.

A classmate of the infected student, who chose to be anonymous said to Premium Times over the phone, “We learnt she was taken to the counselling unit before being taken to an isolation centre”.
