Kwam1's daughter kicks against Igboho's movement

Despite Kwam1’s daughter, Dami Marshal’s kick against popular Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho’s movement, the GoFundMe campaign launched by Nigerians in support his campaign against killer herdsmen has generated over N11millon in a 48hours.

Kemi Filani recalls that the £100,000 (N51.8m) campaign was launched by one Maureen Badejo, based in the United Kingdom for “purchase of buses for Sunday Igboho”.

“Let us rise up and support chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho, they need buses to move around to secure our ancestral land.

” Our security is threatened as we speak. It seems people in a position of authority are helpless,” the description read in part.

And in reaction, Kwam 1’s daughter, Dami out rightly condemned the act revealing all those who want to set Nigeria on fire will know no peace.

”Anyone donating money from any part of the world in order to set Nigeria on fire will never know peace.. it took us alot to get here. Please do not take us back. Don’t kill my dream because of your own ignorance. As a student of history, i know the cost o the last Ife Modakeke crises, where this Sunday Ighoho was said to be an active participant. All of those interviewing him and amplifying the war he is calling for should be subjects of interests to the DSS- if the DSS still knows its duties.

In my life, i dont support nonsense, go and read section 43 of the 1999 constitution one Nigeria. the country as a whole belongs to all of us. Every media establishment that repeatedly calls Sunday Igboho a Yoruba activist is playing is part to cause ethnic cries in the SW in order to extract political value from it. Everyone of them

I’m 100 per cent Yoruba but I will never support anyone that wants to cause war, the Igbo man is my brother, the Hausa is my brother too. Case closed” she wrote

Well, checks on the GoFundMe website this noon, showed that 693 donors have contributed to the campaign.

As of the last check hours ago, £22,822 (N11m) has been donated.

Igboho during a virtual town hall meeting, said he needs buses to “transport people” for his south-west tour.

Sunday Igboho had said he would embark on a tour of Southwest states of Nigeria in a bid to flush out killer herdsmen in the region.

So far, he has been in Oyo and Ogun states.
