Lagos State Government has lightened eight communities that have been in darkness for six years.
Gboyega Akosile, the Chief Press Secretary, said power supply had been restored to all eight communities.
According to the statement, the governor said he held a parley with traditional rulers and village heads in the affected community, which saw the presence of Onilekki of LEKKI and Oba Liasim Ogunbekun table problems before the governor.
The monarch states that they could not trace the cause of the power outage, and the power distribution company in the area could not give a tangible reason for the blackout.
Ogungbekun further reveals that despite the repairs done on the electric cables in the area by the community leaders, the area has not had more than 30 mins of electricity in the last six years.
