Davido Unfollows Portable Over Alleged Bad Advice

Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has unfollowed fellow musician Portable on Instagram following a public dispute. Portable had accused Davido of giving him bad advice during their recent dinner in the United States.

The conflict erupted when Portable, the ‘Zazu’ hitmaker, claimed that Davido, who is signed with Sony Music, advised him against joining the same label and instead suggested signing with Empire. Portable interpreted this advice as an attempt to undermine his chances of winning a Grammy, similar to Davido’s ambitions.

Davido’s reaction to the allegations was swift. He unfollowed Portable on Instagram, a move confirmed by a check of their accounts on Thursday evening.

Portable had previously voiced concerns that certain individuals were attempting to create animosity between him and Davido. Despite these pressures, he emphasized his reluctance to engage in conflict with Davido, acknowledging the support he had received from the DMW boss in the past.

This social media fallout has intensified the drama between the two artists, capturing the attention of fans and sparking discussions about the competitive nature of the Nigerian music industry. As the situation unfolds, both artists remain in the spotlight, with their actions and reactions closely monitored by their followers.
