Amaechi Muonagor pleads for financial assistance for kidney transplant

Veteran Nollywood actor Amaechi Muonagor has appealed to Nigerians for financial support so that he can receive a kidney transplant in India.

On Monday, March 18, 2024, a video circulated on social media showing the beloved actor lying motionless on a bed, pleading for help. Actor Kingsley Orji, who was seated next to Muonagor, made an appeal on his behalf.

He said, “It has not been easy. He has been in this condition for months now. He wants to go for a kidney transplant. What we want is for you to help him travel to India. He just came back from the ICU at Nnewi Teaching Hospital a couple of days ago. He was responding to treatment, but not very well.”

Orji further disclosed that the sick actor’s speech impairments are a result of his kidney problems.

Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie also sought financial assistance for her ill colleague.

The well-known actress posted a video of the sick actor on her Instagram profile and asked for financial support for him. She said that the actor’s health had gotten worse and that he required immediate help to get better.
