Spain-Nigeria’s trade to climb $4bn in 2024

The Spanish government is planning to push its bilateral trade with Nigeria beyond the current $4 billion

threshold. But the President of the Nigerian Association Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Dele Kelvin Oye, called for a deeper collaboration between Nigeria and Spain to expand the $4bn trade volume between the two countries.

Speaking at a civil reception organised in honour of the crew of Spanish Navy Ship (SPS), BAM  TOURNADO, at the Western Naval Command Headquarters in Lagos, the Captain of the Ship, Captain David Castillo, said the visit was geared towards strengthening the bilateral relations between Nigeria and Spain as well as enhancing maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea He said the visit will also strengthen the trade relationship between both countries. The Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), Western Naval Command, Rear Adm. Mustapha Hassan in Apapa, Lagos, said the two countries have

had a good history in terms of bilateral relations and maritime security.
