A passenger died aboard a Kenya Airways flight from Nairobi to Lagos, Nigeria, on Tuesday, the airline said on Wednesday.
Kenya Airways said in a statement that the incident occurred at about 9:20 p.m. after the passenger “was found to be unresponsive approximately 20 minutes before landing in Lagos.”
It said its crew had administered first aid to the deceased and, upon landing at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport at 9:41 p.m., medical personnel confirmed his death.
“We convey our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and apologise for any inconvenience this incident may have caused. We uphold and respect the privacy and dignity of all involved.
“Kenya Airways is providing the necessary support in close coordination with the deceased’s family, local authorities, and aviation regulators,” the airline said.
