‘I Never Wanted to Be Rich, Famous’ – Odumodublvck

Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has opened up about his approach to fame and success, revealing that he never set out to achieve fame or wealth in his music career.

Speaking on the Hip TV program Trending, Odumodublvck explained that fame has never been a driving force for him. Instead, his focus has always been on creating meaningful music and making a positive impact on his audience.

“I have never tried to be famous. The way people say they want fame, like the way people say they are looking for money—people want fame. I have never wanted fame. I have never thought about it,” the rapper said.

He further explained that while promoting his music inevitably leads to some level of fame, it’s not the type of fame associated with being “rich and famous” in the traditional sense. For Odumodublvck, it’s about connecting with people through his music, not chasing the status that comes with being in the spotlight.

Odumodublvck’s rise to fame began in 2022 with his hit song Picanto, featuring Ecko Miles and Zlatan Ibile. In 2023, he dropped Declan Rice, a track that became widely popular, especially after Arsenal used it in a video announcing the signing of the footballer Declan Rice.
