‘He creates magic out of nothing’ – Bellingham on player to win Ballon d’Or
Real Madrid attacking midfielder Jude Bellingham has suggested that he and his teammate Vinicius Jr. could share the Ballon d’Or by splitting it in half this year.
Bellingham has had a stellar debut season at Real Madrid. The England international clinched both LaLiga and the Spanish Super Cup titles.
He has the chance to complete a treble by winning the Champions League against his former club, Borussia Dortmund, in the final on June 1.
Bellingham has been exceptional, scoring 23 goals and providing 12 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.
His outstanding performance has made him a leading contender for this year’s Ballon d’Or.
However, when discussing his Ballon d’Or prospects, Bellingham told The Athletic reporter, Guillermo Rai: “For me, Vinicius is the best in the world. He creates magic out of nothing. He has everything to be the best. If that’s how he feels [Vinicius said Bellingham is the best], then you can split it [Ballon d’Or] in two [laughs].”
