‘Davido Now Smiling With Wike, Even People I’m Fighting For Will Still Sell Their Votes’ – Fayose Laments

The younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, Isaac, has lamented over the decision of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, and Nigerian singer, Davido, to realign with leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Naija News reports that Fayose expressed his displeasure while reacting to a viral video of Davido and Adeleke meeting with President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.

Adeleke, who recently won the just-concluded Osun State governorship election, was in Aso Rock Villa on Thursday to thank President Bola Tinubu for not interfering in the election.

Adeleke and Davido also visited Wike at his residence in Abuja, where the singer was seen teasing the Minister about beating the APC during the election.

Reacting, Fayose, in a post on his social media page, lamented that Adeleke and Davido, whom he and other Nigerians fought for, are now romancing with APC leaders.

Fayose recalled rejecting money and a G-Wagon he was offered, adding that it would not be surprising if those he is fighting for still sell their votes on election day.

He said, “Look at Osun, I was in Australia and Adeleke called me, I offered my support. Six days later, the governor is in Abuja, presenting to the president his certificate of return.

“Davido that we were hailing during the election is now smiling with Wike. Meanwhile, they offered me money, and I declined. They offered me a G-Wagon, but I still declined.

“Now, even the people I’m fighting for, on election day, they will still sell their votes.”
